Let The Canadian Adventure Begin

Our journey begins at Mile 0.  We begin in Victoria, BC with a dream to travel across Canada.

We also start by visiting this monument in Victoria of a special man who also had that same dream.  We hope to see his monument in Thunder Bay and possibly other places as well as he joined all of us together in his Marathon of Hope.

Then we had to make another stop before we started at Steve Fonyo Beach to touch the water edge before we begin our adventure together.

In case you're wondering, I cupped some of the Pacific waters in my hands and hope to do the same when we get to the Atlantic.  It was a beautiful day on the West coast as we marked the beginning of our Canadian adventure.

Bruce thought I was a little crazy when I suggested going to the beach, and a little crazier when I suggested going into the water.  He was glad when I had forgotten my water shoes in the car. But then I thought he was a little crazy when he wanted to hold the seaweed...I guess we are a perfect pair...a little crazy but ready for an adventure.
